The good news is that William is going to do some engine / gearbox / final drive videos on the same bike.

Re: Saga sells Bennetts Motorcycle insurance for £26m

Like others were saying on another thread, it varies so much, at first I found Bennetts cheapest, but they kept trying to almost double the price at renewal, then I found Carole Nash way cheaper for 2 r80's than Bennett's were for one. What worries me is I was quite prepared to flip flop between bot...

Re: Saga sells Bennetts Motorcycle insurance for £26m

I'm hoping another company involved in motorcycle insurance will step up and provide some competition.

Re: Saga sells Bennetts Motorcycle insurance for £26m

I doubt if this will be good for UK motorcyclists, both major insurance brokers owned by the same company.

Saga sells Bennetts Motorcycle insurance for £26m

BENNETTS Motorcycle Insurance has been sold by owners Saga for £26m to Atlanta Investment Holdings Ltd which is part of the Ardonagh group. The news comes after months of speculation that the historic brand was up for sale. The sale comes just five years after the over-50s travel and insurance speci...

Hi John,

I'm surrounded by floods landslides and the chaos that they have caused.
Thankfully my family and I have been spared everything and only suffered a little inconvenience.

Hi Jim ,

It sounds like you've got your bike just right for your needs.

I've never ridden a airhead without a RT fairing on it, but I love the looks of the s fairing and would think it's great fun to ride .

Re: Puncture repair kits - review and thoughts

My guys at the tyre shop tried buffing the sealing edge for me in the past with their air tool buffer but it didn't improve the situation. I haven't tried using solvol autosol though ! My wheels look in good condition and I can't justify having them referbished when either fitting tubes or rememberi...

Re: Puncture repair kits - review and thoughts

That's good to know, I'll look into getting it done, unfortunately I can't remove / replace tubeless tires myself so it can mean a lot of back and forth to the bike shop as I don't like the idea of having both wheels off at the same time ! It would be nice to get it back to how it was designed to be...

Re: Puncture repair kits - review and thoughts

Totally agree, I have fitted tubes in my mono airheads, it was the only way stop the tyres losing pressure over weeks of no use. Others had suggested wheel refurbishment but that's a bit expensive for a minor annoyance. Last tyre change I thought I'd try without tubes but it's already giving me grie...

Re: Puncture repair kits - review and thoughts

Found it,

https://www.bmbikes.org.uk/viewtopic.php?t=14407

I think the GS has sensors built into the valves that sit inside the wheel chambers

Something like this one.

Re: Puncture repair kits - review and thoughts

I bought a aftermarket tyre pressure monitoring kit on eBay, the sensors replace the dust caps and I believe are under constant pressure, this makes me wonder if they are vulnerable to slime or similar.

That makes me wonder if it can be used with a tyre pressure monitoring system,
Anyone know ?

Re: Puncture repair kits - review and thoughts

Just revitalising this thread as I had to use Slime again yesterday. It was raining, it was on the street after work... Still, I wouldn't want to try changing the tyre then. So as above, I had two tubes of Slime on the bike and after filling, it got me the 14 miles home; really pleased. The screw i...
