Re: Riding in groups

I’ve certainly riden in large numbers of motorcyclists in the past but found that it’s easy to to get disenchanted with the pace, so I prefer smaller groups or riding alone.

Shame that a good bike has been spoiled!
There’s no balance in the design!
The price tag is ridiculous!

Re: ABS refurbishment

I had continuous ABS problems on my 2004 K1200rs so I removed it and I’m quite happy with the brakes, it’s quick to bleed them now as opposed to the ABS system. One problem I did have after was no speedometer but it’s probably a sensor needing replaced, I just use an app on my iPhone to record speed...

Re: Northern Meet in Biggar this Sunday 27th May 2018

I'll be in Biggar on Sunday - possibly alone ! I'm hoping somebody will look at the weather, realise how good the roads are in Dumfries and Galloway, and get the bike out for a run to the Aroma Coffee House. Fingers crossed ! Good luck on your run - 26 1/4 miles  - just rememb...

Re: 2006 R1200gsa din socket power

Oh no! Not another money spend ! I’m not sure about the K12 being Canbus, but after some research I’ve remembered that the Canbus system will only power up to 5amp maximum so compressors will not work on Canbus therefore you’re correct Ced I’ll have to wire in a new socket to the battery. Thanks onc...

Re: 2006 R1200gsa din socket power

Hi Keith, From the 2006 R1200GS Wiring Diagram, the Onboard Socket is connected to the Central Electronics Unit (CEU). As your bike is CanBUS, it may be that this socket is only powered up when the bike is running, OR, if a CanBUS enabled accessory is connected to the socket - I don't know how this...

2006 R1200gsa din socket power

Hi Guys & Gals, The latest problem surfaced after a puncture in my front wheel, I have an extension cable from the din socket to the handle bars that used to transfer power that would run the compressor to pump up the tyres, this no longer works! I used to have to leave the bike running to maintain ...

Re: 2006 R1200gsa not turning over

Hi Guys & Gals,
The latest update on my R1200gsa, the bike has been working perfectly all week, no problems with the gear display and hence the starting of the bike.

My next problem is a puncture in the front tyre, I’ve ordered a new tyre.

Keith
