K75 full fairing wanted and hello again everyone

Postby Responderman » Sun May 13, 2018 3:29 pm

Hello everyone, after a couple of years away. For those who don't know me, I'm Julian and live in Lincoln. I've been a biker all my adult life. I will even confess to owning a brace of MZs too.
About that time I was planning on putting a full fairing on my BMW k75, something like an LT fairing. That never happened because things kicked off but now I'm wanting to continue with the project. So I'm reposting to see if anybody has one spare they are willing to sell. I hope everybody is enjoying the better weather and have lots of rides planned.
Many thanks Jay of Lincoln. Lincolnshire

Full fairing is a lot of extra weight and it will poach your bits in the summer.
Decent riding gear and a handlebar screen is a better option i.m.h.o.
Even better is the little fairing on the K75C plus handguards for winter.
There's an awful lot of bits needed to convert to an RT. Why not buy a complete machine? They are not expensive. Iv'e had four RTs and then I discovered The C and I wouldn't go back.

Hi
too late PhilO, Jay of Lincoln. Lincolnshire took some of my bits a few days ago

Hi George, I hope you were able to provide ALL the bits. Getting hold of the odd piece here and there is an expensive nightmare.

Hi
I hope so as well, I think the only bits he did not get were the lower brackets, I even stripped the spire clips from one of my spares so Julian has a full set

George did me proud. The only parts he didn't have were the lower brackets, indicator bulb holders, and the screen. The screen was about £70. The bulb holders were a tenner. And I made the brackets myself. So it's been a reasonable priced project. We had a good natter, kicked a few tyres, and it was a very easy drive there and back. I would like to thank the club and George in particular, because without you both I would never have managed the job.
Thank you

It's good when someone reports a great outcome like this. We can all stop worrying now.
