Screen for a R1150r

Postby davids » Sat Oct 03, 2020 8:52 am

Hi there
My R1150r is fitted with a standard screen which is ok up to around 50 mph, but after that there is little protection.
So has anyone got any recommendations for a better screen that will fit on the bike easily?
Thanks

David

Try this for a change : https://gimbel-motorradtechnik.de/umbau/umb_bmw.html select the R1150R at "Bitte auswahlen"
It is not a cheap conversion.
I have made the change https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Uu_Ey7 ... sp=sharing
here is the thread about it viewtopic.php?f=14&t=16776&hilit=gimbel
Imageshack has expired so I have put all the conversion pictures on Google drive.

The Gimbel fairing starts at "IMG_5723.jpg"

Hi Peter
Thanks very much.
I'll have a good look at this and see how we go.

I have just taken off a Puig screen from my R1150R. It was good up to 100 mph but noisy.

It now rips my arms off at 80, but i like that.
