GPS mount

Postby Murphy » Sun Apr 25, 2021 2:50 pm

Just thought I’d post this up for consideration. Got fed up with my Garmin being mounted out of sight on the yoke so I made up a mounting plate using 2mm mild steel sheet. Made a template using CAD (Cardboard Aided Design), then bent, primed, painted and fixed between the windscreen and it’s mounting plate.

Does the job well, I cant abide having to crane my neck down to see the sat nav. I see some guys have them in the transparent top their tank bag.

Mine is mounted to a drilled plate I welded to one of the screen upper supports, I just lower my eyes to see it, don't even need to move my head.

A well made bracket Murphy. Used to have mine by the gauges on the RT, now on the trike its clamped on the bars in full view.
