Electric Air Pump

Postby Dill » Mon Sep 09, 2019 11:50 am

Hi Guys I'm looking to buy an Electric Air Pump for my GS. I have one that I used for my RT that worked well, but when I plug it into my GS power outlet it starts but then instantly stops. I guess it's drawing too much for the GS. Just wondered what you guys use.

Cheers

Dill

I use this - https://www.amazon.co.uk/AirMan-Compact ... B006B96OGS

I adapted it so that it connects directly to the battery via the CTEK charger connection, so no Canbus cut-out nonsense! Instead of buying a replacement though, why not just go straight to the battery via a permanent lead?

I use one of these to run the compressor:

That's just a random link. You can get them cheaper.

I use one of these - no electricity required. Almost effortless pumping up to 40 psi. It is capable of much more pressure. Lightweight and compact.

The only electric pump I tried on a trip promptly went 'BANG' and issued much smoke.

Hi Guys thanks for your replies, actually the one i have is the Airman Pump as in milleplod link. I think I am going to go straight from the battery as suggested. I don't know why I didn't think of that in the first place Thick Or What LOL
