I've been seriously thinking about adding a K100RS to the stable and as I don't have much knowledge on these, I performed the obligatory Google search to uncover potential problems.
One issue that constantly pops up is spline failure at the gearbox end, which in many cases may not be an economic repair.
One YouTube mechanic puts this down largely to the dry clutch arrangement.
This got me to thinking about my 1100RS.
At 35,000 miles should I be looking at carrying out some preventative maintenance.
I'm starting to think I maybe sitting on a ticking time bomb.
