I guess I was one of the unlucky few.
I had a K1100RS that burned out cylinder 2, totalling the engine.
Less than 40,000 miles.
It's why I smile to myself every time I hear people say bricks are indestructible.

Whoa !! On original powertrain?
I've no idea what parts have been changed over the years but he has three K100's and all have extremely high mileages.
