Back to Beemer

Postby Bomber Harris » Mon Sep 10, 2018 4:33 pm

I was a lapsed member some years back, prolly under a different name, am Bomber Harris on another local to me forum, my child bride gave me that name as I had a Harley with Screaming Eagles fitted that sounded like a Lancaster bomber, she would hear me streets away and say to the kids, " here comes Bomber Harris coming home for his snap ".
Anyway I live in Falkirk, Central Scotland and am at the nothing surprises me age of 58, some folks say that is old I prefer the term, " Old Classic ".
I gave up bikes in May but Mrs told me to get another as I was getting on her t**s!, this is my fifth BMW, previously had a R100, an R80 and two K75's, the one I just bought is a 1979 R80/7.
My previous bikes read like a K-Tel track list of two wheel excitment, Honda's Suzuki's, Kawasaki, Yamaha's, MuZ, Triumphs and Harleys.
I have been on the railways since 1991 and hope to retire in the next few years then prolly get divorced shortly after.
Anyway that's about it, hope to be able to contribute when I can chums.

Thanks for the welcome troops, have looked at my roster and am off on the 30th so will make the effort to be there, bike has a wee fault just now, ( gen light not going completely out), have ordered a new diode board and stator, should be here in a few days, fingers crossed that cures the issue.
