Hello

Postby Moto pete » Sat Nov 24, 2018 9:13 pm

Hello All,
Just a short message to introduce myself, my name is Pete and I live in East Sussex, England and I have several other bikes mostly Moto Morini’s, but have just been given a 1979 r 65 that has lived in a shed for the last 22 years, unfortunately not a very dry shed so it a bit rusty and corroded, but after half a day with a can of electrical contact cleaner, break cleaner and plus gas, second hand battery and some new fuel it started, well impressed.
Regards Pete.

I concur. I just did more or less the same thing a few months ago. The work did lean towards the "more" rather than the "less" but I got to enjoy it for a few weeks before the leaves stopped the fun.

Hello Phil,
Thank you. Really enjoyed going through old posts on the forum learnt a lot about how BMW’s work which is good as I know nothing about them.

Hello Pete, from another Pete.

Welcome to the Forum. I've never had an airhead, but I did have a Morini Kanguro many moons ago, a lovely little bike - I couldn't get on with the r/h gearchange though! How about some photos of your project?!

Hello Pete, I have a Kangaro but a mark 3 so it has a left hand gear change, all though all the others are right hand gear change. I will try and get some pictures up when I figure out how to do it.
Regards Pete.
