BMW Riders Club - Membership 2020/2021

Postby Rob Frankhamr » Wed Apr 01, 2020 12:54 pm

By now, all members of the BM Riders Club should have received an Email about the renewal of club membership for the 2020/2021 season. If you are a member and haven't received one, please PM me so that we can work out why.

In view of the current ‘coronavirus situation’, all club events are effectively suspended for the duration so, after some deliberation, the committee has decided to waive the annual subscription for the 2020/2021 season.

For anyone who wishes to join the club, this gives an opportunity to join free of charge for the 2020/2021 season and try us out.

Over the next weeks, we will be circulating some questions on the forum and by email in an attempt to find ways we can make the club more attractive to more people. When we do, please make your feelings known. While, obviously, we aren’t going to be able to take every suggestion forward, we are very open to any ideas that will improve the club for you, the members and make it more attractive to new members.

Now the important bits are done, allow me to introduce myself. I am Rob Frankham and I have just taken on the mantle of Membership Secretary for the club from Bryce to allow him to concentrate on other things. I am a BMW airhead enthusiast and those who frequent the ‘Airhead Q & A’ list on the forum may know me as Rob Frankhamr (that well known misspelling!). I have three airheads dating from 1976 to 1987, which I ride and maintain.

I hope everyone remains well and is enduring the current crisis without too many problems. I look forward to meeting you all online and hopefully in person when the coronavirus is beaten

Kind regards, and best wishes

Rob Frankham

Hi all,

Thank you to all who have replied to my circular email. I shall be responding to each reply in due course.

Mark,

I'm coming to realise that there is only one 'April Fool' around here and that's that's the one who took on the job of membership secretary...

Hi Rob,

I'm sure you will get into running things quickly and with ease.

I forgot to say thanks to Bryce, for all his work before you.
