When did water cooling come in?

Postby tigcraft » Tue Apr 10, 2018 10:34 am

As title, just curious to when the change over became and out of interest is it the same time as the switch between LH to RH exhaust silencers?

For the R1200RT - 2014MY, so manufacturing started September 2013.
You might find a 63 plate "wethead", or a 14 plate with the last of the air cooled motors (UK only).

I think I'm right in saying that the R1200GS went water-cooled one year earlier.
Current BMW : 2017MY R1200RT LE in Platinum Bronze
Previous BMWs : R1200RT SE (2007 then 2010), R1200RT 90th Anniversary model (2013).
